Nice has jumped in popularity as a destination for British holidaymakers, according to budget airline easyJet.
The airline expects to operate 40 percent of its usual capacity between July and September, substantially higher than the 30 percent predicted in the company’s first-half results reported last month.
EasyJet will operate about 1,000 flights a day in August and only 650 of its 9,000 UK staff remain on furlough.
The airline has come in for criticism for not refunding fares quickly enough after a swathe of cancellations. It currently takes 28 days for travellers to receive a refund.
