Despite having much lower death rates than Ukraine itself, Slovakia and the Czech Republic have found themselves on Ukraine’s red list, meaning that travellers from the two countries will have to submit a coronavirus-free test or enter quarantine.

Neighbouring Slovakia has one of the lowest infection rates in Europe and has registered 29 coronavirus deaths since the start of the outbreak. The two central European countries are not alone. A total of 120 states are now on Ukraine’s red list.

Bizarrely, in the green zone are Sweden, the UK, Portugal, Croatia, Belarus, Turkey, Egypt and Italy. Ukraine has so far registered 1,819 deaths.
