SIX FIELDS CLOSE OFF NORWAY

Equinor has conducted a controlled closure of the Gudrun, Gina Krog, Kvitebjørn, and Valemon fields as the trade union Lederne stepped up its strike on the Norwegian continental shelf. The Valemon field must be shut down because it is linked to Kvitebjørn, Equinor said. The strike is the result of a breach of mediation in the negotiations between the employer organization Norwegian Oil and Gas Association and Lederne. Two more fields will also close. The six fields produce 330,000 boe/d, or about 8% of the total oil and gas production on the Norwegian shelf. SOURCE: Offshore
