BMW’S PROFIT UP 10%

BMW’s third-quarter profit rose almost 10% thanks to Chinese demand for luxury cars, but the German automaker warned a new wave of coronavirus infections sweeping Europe and the United states posed a “considerable” risk to its business. BUSINESS SENTIMENT ON THE RISE

Business sentiment continued to improve in October as economies recovered from the impact of Covid-19 earlier this year, according to a survey of Fidelity analysts. The monthly poll found that 44% of analysts said management sentiment had improved, while 61% reported that leading indicators for the next six months were positive – the best figures since the pandemic took hold in April. A UK medical devices company has acquired a European firm in a deal worth up to £4.5m (€5m). Creo Medical Group, the medical device company focused on the emerging field of surgical endoscopy, has announced the of Boucart Medical. AMAZON TO OPEN SWISS ZONE

Amazon Web Services (AWS), an Amazon.com company is planning to open an infrastructure region in Switzerland in the second half of 2022. The AWS Europe Region will be comprising three Availability Zones and join existing regions in France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Sweden, and the UK, the company said in a statement.
