FRENCH PRINT MAGAZINES SOLD

Billionaire Vincent Bollore, the biggest shareholder in Vivendi, is poised to expand his activities in French media with the acquisition of Prisma Media. Vivendi, which has France’s biggest pay-TV group Canal, advertising group Havas and publishing company Editis, said on Wednesday it had agreed to buy Prisma from Germany’s Bertelsmann for an unspecified sum. Prisma is France’s number one print magazines group, with titles such as Femme Actuelle, Capital, Gala and Tele-Loisirs. SOURCE: Reuters

INTERACTIVE BROKERS TAKE IRISH OPTION

Interactive Brokers Group announced today that it has established an entity in Ireland to fuel the regional growth. The broker created the new office to serve as a base for the Western European region in response to Brexit. The firm received permission from the Central Bank of Ireland for the new entity Interactive Brokers Ireland Limited. Additionally, the company outlined plans to increase its workforce substantially in 2021 to accommodate the growth in the company’s European business. It employs 2,000 worldwide. FINTECH FIRM CONTINUES ACQUISITION PLAN

Belgian fintech company Unifiedpost has acquired 21 Grams, AKTI and BanqUP, quickly acting on its ‘buy-and-build’ acquisition strategy that was laid out after the 47 million euros fund-raising round this summer and a September listing on Euronext Brussels. Through the deals, Unifiedpost Group further develops its one-stop-shop platform and expands its activities from fifteen to twenty European countries.
